Hey! Hey, I swear, if you start thinking that I don't want to listen to you or anything, I will come over there and I will hit you repeatedly. I swear it. Blaine, I like listening to you. You're the only friend I have here who will listen to me, so why shouldn't I return the favor?

That's what friends do. Trust me. It's okay. Rant all you want. You don't rant enough, in my opinion.

[He makes a soft sound of amusement]

I've seen the way that you hit, remind me not think that way again. I don't want to get on your bad side.

What can I say, I'm a power house. [Laughs.] So.

[change of subject time] How have you been?

I've been okay. I've started... talking, to some people, who know what the right thing to do is. So I've been getting to know what to do, from their experiences.

Like a therapist or a support group?

I have an appointment to see a therapist. But more like... seeing some people I haven't seen in awhile.

So, friends?

...Kinda. Not. [He frowns.] Kinda friends. More like acquaintances from back home.

That's good though, as long as they are helping you.

It is good. I think so, anyway. It's nice to talk to people, sometimes. Otherwise I'd be working all the time.

Working all of the time can be a good distraction, when you need it.

Have you been able to go to work?

For a couple of nights, yeah. I'm going to start off slow, I think.

I don't think I'll be trying for full time again. I want to go back to school too, so working at a night club full time at the same time might be a bad idea.

Are you going to go to the university, or back to high school? [Bites lip.] You could probably get into the university, here. You're really smart.

I don't know if I'm ready for that, honestly.

I think I might look into some kind of program that would be similar to a GED? Some way of maybe getting a general education certification. University can come after that.

If I found a program that was only a few days a week I think I could do that. They have stuff like that back home for busy adults who want to go back to school.

They have that here. I know they do, one of the first things I looked at when I got here was their education system. I got my GED awhile ago. Took some time, but it's worth it.

I think I'm going to do that. If I can work a couple of nights and go to school during the week...? It might be busy and exhausting, but at least I would be accomplishing something?

I think you can do anything you set your mind to do, Blaine. As corny as it sounds.

[Blaine chuckles softly] Only a little corny.

We both seem to be in better places, right? Maybe we can see each other again? I miss hanging out with you.

Yes. God yes. Not being able to see you has been torture, it really has. You're like, one of my best friends here. I think we're both in really better places now. Not perfect, but a lot better then before.

Yeah. We just have to look out for each other this time, instead of letting the other one get away with stuff.

I'm sorry about that, by the way. I'm sorry I enabled you.

Are you kidding? I'm sorry I enabled you! It's not like you were the one who put drugs in my hands. I'm the one that did that to you. I'm sorry. I really am sorry.

I forgive you. In the end, you and Cass helped inspire me to stop and to stop blaming myself for everything [Though that second one is still a battle.] I just... I just want you to know that.

If anything ever happened to you, I'd want to make sure you knew that...

Oh, Blaine. You're going to make me blush like a school girl. [He cracks the joke after a moment, but it's obvious his heart isn't quite there. He's just embarrassed. Happy, but...]

Thank you. But nothing's going to happen to me! I can handle a couple of monsters.
